OK — I do enjoy all those email thingies that ask you to answer and then forward it on to your friends. I never forward them — mainly b/c I’m afraid I would lose all my friends if I did that 🙂

4. What is your favorite TV show? Robin Hood on BBC-America or The Daily Show
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? Yogurt most days, but Saturday scones

8. What is your favorite CD at moment? I always have my Ipod on Shuffle, but the Wicked soundtrack has been in heavy rotation and a friend turned me on to Joan Armatrading’s new album, Into the Blues.
9. What kind of car do you drive? Sonata, but I pretend it’s a convertible
10. Favorite sandwich? BLT or fresh tomato on homemade dill bread.
11. What characteristic do you despise? cruelty, little or big & lying
12. Favorite item of clothing? earrings or lingerie
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you
go? after Wales, I’d see at least one place on each continent
14. Favorite brand of clothing? don’t have one

16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? Bruce Hornsby concert at the Biltmore, looking over the mountains

21. What did you want to be when you were little? Thoracic Surgeon/Concert Pianist/Adventurer (1 of 3 isn’t bad)

23. What is your favorite flower? roses, peonies & tiger lilies
24. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? Thanksgiving
25. What are you listening to right now? John Mellencamp, the storm that’s blowing up, and people wandering by
26. What was the last thing you ate? a scone and my once a week BIG cup of coffee

28. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? A mix of midnight blue and bright turquoise
29. How is the weather right now? there’s a storm breeze beginning to push the humidity away
30. Last person you spoke to on the phone? a friend in town for the day

32. Favorite restaurant? Indian, sushi or mexican — there’s a spicy theme going on

40. When was the last time you cried? hmmm…. a couple of days ago, I was reading Slavery By Another Name by Douglas A Blackmon. I’ve explained to the girls, that’s why I can’t do horror movies — there’s enough of it in history.
41. What is under your bed? cat toys, a sweater box and reference books I want nearby.
42. What did you do last night? went to a neat little pizza place, played with deer, watched a movie, wrote for a while, and read until really late
43. What are you afraid of? something happening to my girls or to anyone I care about
44. Salty or sweet? sweet with salty
45. How many keys on your key ring? 3
46. How many years at your current job? 11 years as a mom; shouldn’t a writer truly say always
47. Favorite day of the week? Friday nights — usually it’s adventure night of some sort
48. How many towns have you lived in? 3, or 4 if you count my summers researching
49. Do you make friends easily? most of the time
50. How many people will you send this to? kind of a zen, it’s just an out here kind of thing
51. How many will respond? everybody, of course, they all have Saturdays waiting for the laundry to dry so they can answer nosy questions 🙂
52. Do you like finding out all this stuff about your friends? sure, everyone has incredibly rich stories that make them who they are
